The Charge Up! Spirit
Electricity. A strong stable flow of it is important for the media & technical operations of a church. That’s why there’s usually a concern about how many power phases your audio visual equipment need to be sitting on; making sure the computers are hooked up with those “Back-UPS” boxes so that they don’t black out with black outs; ensuring there’s ample supply of batteries for your cameras. Basically, taking extra consideration and care for all the equipment that fall in the “high worry bracket” of getting short-circuited or not even powering up!
This should actually be true of the people BEHIND all these equipment as well — the church’s technical operators and media artists. For they too fall in the high worry bracket of getting short-circuited and not powering up! Without a strong stable flow of “electricity” channeling to & through them, the potential of burn-out and even complete losses altogether, is dangerously high.That was one of LiveWire’s main considerations and concern when Charge Up! Conference was started in 2006. It wasn’t so much about the skills that needed to be imparted, but the spirit behind what God has given us to serve and the way we serve.
And that’s why the conference schedule includes the daily Power Up! sessions that will be focused on how God’s media & technical servants need to & can be charged up for the long haul! Tapping straight into His Power Supply (the Word of God), we’ll be drawing some electrifying truths together.
We believe these truths will shine through as well throughout the stream workshops. There will be a host of different media servants who have walked through the highs and lows of media ministry and are still learning to walk in the creative paths that God is laying down for all of us.
So come join us in a time of allowing the Lord to speak, to breathe life into an area of ministry that needs the Holy Spirit’s power so much more than what comes out from the wall plugs. Come and experience a glimpse of heaven as media teams from all over Malaysia come and worship Him together. Come and be charged to change, come and be connected as one church.
